Optimum Training Camp
Optimum Training Camp is located in Eldoret, Kaptagat, Kenya, known as the hometown of world champions. Eldoret sits at an altitude of approximately 2,100 to 2,400 meters (6,900 to 7,900 feet) above sea level, providing an ideal high-altitude environment for endurance training. This elevation naturally enhances athletes’ cardiovascular and respiratory systems, making it a prime location for long-distance runners to improve their performance.
This Kenyan region enjoys a temperate climate, with cool mornings and evenings, and moderate temperatures throughout the day, which are ideal for training. Eldoret’s natural landscape, with its vast rolling hills and scenic routes, offers a perfect terrain for both long-distance and marathon training. The clean air and unpolluted environment further contribute to optimal athletic performance and recovery.
The Optimum Training Camp, established by World Athletics authorized Athlete Representative and longtime professionals, employs world-class professional long-distance marathon coaches.
